<p>The Take 6 story began in 1980 at Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL.  It was not long before their signature sound garnered the group wide spread attention. In 1987, Take 6 signed with Warner Brothers and released their eponymously titled debut, which scored two Grammys and landed in the top ten on Billboard&#8217;s Contemporary Jazz and Contemporary Christian charts.  Take 6’s emergence on the music scene garnered wide spread attention and opportunities to collaborate with many of the brightest stars in the industry.  In 1990, they released the Grammy winning &#8220;So Much 2 Say,&#8221; which found a home at number 2 spot on Billboard&#8217;s Contemporary Jazz chart.  Another Grammy followed with the group&#8217;s holiday recording He Is Christmas. During the 90s they continued to solidify themselves as forces to reckon with producing a string of stellar recordings including Join the Band (1994), Brothers (1996), So Cool (1998) and We Wish You a Merry Christmas (1999). Both Join the Band and Brothers were both Grammy winners. In 2000, TAKE 6 released a live recording and a best-of collection that was followed by Beautiful World in 2002. In 2006, Feels Good, presented an opportunity for the group to release their first new album on their own label.  In 2008, Take 6 joined forces with an all-star lineup that included Aaron Neville, Brian McKnight, George Benson, Al Jarreau and Jon Hendricks for their album The Standard, their first for the Heads up label. 2010’s Most Wonderful Time of the Year, climbed to the top 40 spot on Billboard&#8217;s U.S. Jazz charts. <p>“New CEO, Thorsten Heins, who is also the former COO, is not drawing rave reviews on Wall Street. The company really needs a visionary and I’m not convinced that an operations specialist will be able to right the ship,” says Leong.</p>

<p>The reality, according to Leong, is that Heins might be better than the RIM co-founders, but he is likely not like the late Steve Jobs or Richard Branson of Virgin Media, Inc. “Time will tell if Heins can offer something different,” says Leong.</p>

<p>“As an investor, I would stick with Apple, the best of breed,” says Leong. “Apple is the largest company in the world, with an astounding market cap in excess of $  394 billion. By comparison, RIM’s market cap of $  7.64 billion is tiny.” </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>According to Profit Confidential, Apple has $  25.95 billion in cash and no debt. Leong notes, “Apple could easily take out RIM if it wanted to. But Apple doesn’t have to do this, as its ‘iPhone’ and ‘iPad’ have garnered worldwide acclaim and are seen as sexy products.”</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>“RIM’s ‘BlackBerry’ may be dying a slow death,” says Leong.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Profit Confidential, which has been published for over a decade now, has been widely recognized as predicting five major economic events over the past 10 years. <p>The 1903 Stanley Steamer Solid Seat Runabout is the most famous and longest-lived steam car in the world.  The car’s design was improved by placing the engine toward the rear which improved weight balance. All of the body parts were made by hand due to the odd curvature and the Stanley boiler could raise 250 pounds of steam from cold water in about 5 minutes, making it one of the most efficient vehicles of its time. The vehicle is very rare being designed by the Stanley Brothers in the early 1900s.</p>

<p>When Johnny Cash sang of “Wednesday’s Car” in the early 70s he may have been referring to his beloved 1970 Rolls Royce Silver Show Long Wheel Base Limousine.</p>

<p>Step back in time to the Great American Race, the cross-country rally that pits driver/navigator teams against the clock and each other and which has been immortalized in film and fiction.  In homage to this historical pastime a 1905 Lorraine &amp; De Dietrich DVC two seater from the Great Race and a 1935 RollsRoyce Phantom II Touring car from the Great Race are being offered.  The 1905 two seater is a beautifully restored example of the quality French motoring company founded in 1896, Societe Lorraine des Anciens Establisshments de Dietrich and Cie.  This car features a two-place arrangement that has actually competed in the Great American Race.</p>

<p>Affectionately known as the Yellow Rose of Texas, the 1935 Rolls Royce Phantom II competed in several editions of the Great American Race also. Throughout the several entries in the race that this particular vehicle was involved it traveled from West Coast to East Coast and everywhere in between. It took 1st place overall in 1989, a fete which was repeated in 1990 and also in 1992. </p>

<p>A 1929 Duesenberg Franay limo with a divider window is one of only two ever built and shown in the 1931 and 1934 Paris Show and owned by Countess Proceri will also be offered.  This fine red automobile features tan leather interior, left hand drive  and twin overhead camshafts. Countess Porceri who married the Polish Count Henri de Porceri in Paris in 1931 was known as the Queen of Diamonds because of her love of jewelry and special relationship with the famous jeweler, Harry Winston. When the Duesenberg debuted in 1928 it was the sensation of both general and automotive enthusiasts.</p>

<p>One of the richest Americans in history, Cornelius Vanderbilt, knew how to travel in grand style. His 1913 Rolls Royce silver Ghost Town Car is being offered in this rare auction. The American entrepreneur who built his wealth in shipping and railroads was the patriarch of the Vanderbilt family and was also known by the sobriquet Commodore. This deep maroon treasure was personally ordered by Vanderbilt from the factory in England and treasured by himself and his family. </p>

<p>The road ready drop top light yellow 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak 8 Torpedo Convertible is among Burdick’s favorites and features black and ivory interior. The light yellow exterior finish is known as Frances Ivory. This limited, rarely seen automobile features super calibrated speedometers, operational driving lights, great chrome and trim and “under the hood” updates. Push the buttons on the radio that is in working order and you can almost feel the young love and energetic music associated with the car of this distinction. </p>
